A Note from the Board

As we come to the end of 2014, we want to take time to reflect on all the excellent things that have transpired in the Tech Forum community.

Our monthly gatherings, on the third Wednesday of each month, give us the opportunity to learn, connect and grow together. They have been invaluable as we have helped one another advance and excel in our collective and greater understanding of technologies, such as drones and 3D printing, and new trends.

With the New Year upon us, we want you to know that we have an excellent roster of events in store for you. In January, we’ll kick off the year learning about Investing in Emerging Technologies and gather teams together in preparation for our 2nd Annual Idea Challenge on February 18.

We already have teams forming, 2/3's of team captains in place, judges lined up and a community of partners and sponsors joining us to bring great ideas together for the city of Wilmington. We’d love for you to get involved so be sure to let us know if you’d like to participate as a team member, team captain, or team sponsor. Stay tuned as we roll out more details in the next couple of weeks.

Thanks so much for being a part of the Technology Forum of Delaware community. We wish you all the best through the holiday season and much success in the New Year!

Best regards,

Rick Sommer

on behalf of the Technology Forum of Delaware Board

Regenerative healthcare is just one of the big emerging technology trends for the next decade. OLEDs, 3D printing, robotics, graphene, and the "internet of things" all have the potential to revolutionize multiple industries.

Experience shows us, however, that great ideas - and even great companies, don't always make for great investments.
