Tech Forum December 2016 Update
A Note from the Board

As we close out 2016, we want to thank our Sponsors and Members for your continued support of the Technology Forum of Delaware. At our monthly third Wednesday gatherings, we had the opportunity to make new connections, strength existing relationships, and discover exciting new technologies being developed in our region. Highlights included:

  • February's fun party bus to Philly for a private tour of NextFab, the area's premier makerspace, to preview what they have planned for Wilmington next year.
  • Our third annual Idea Challenge in March featuring collaborative teams developing powerful ideas to make Wilmington a better place to live, work and play.
  • Amazing demos and exhibits of the latest in material science, health tech, digital communications, and much more at our Technologies to Watch Showcase at Young, Conaway, Stargatt & Taylor in June.
  • Partnered events with Blockchain Meetup in September and Open Data Delaware in October to create deeper connections among the tech community in Delaware.
  • A lively party to crowdsource an update to “Tech in Delaware: Where Are We Going?” during Delaware Innovation Week in November. You'll hear the results next month about four pillars critical for a healthy environment for growth and innovation – Talent, Collaboration & Support, Funding, and Brand.

Tech Forum has an even more exciting year planned for 2017 to help you gain new knowledge, resources and connections. We’ll kick off the New Year exploring Emerging Technologies with futurist Jim Lee in January, and tour the new incubator labs at DTP@STAR in February. The Idea Challenge returns for its fourth year in March with new twists thanks to our continued collaboration with Open Data Delaware and the Secretary of State's Office. And you will not want to miss next year's Technologies to Watch Showcase in May.

The Tech Forum Board wishes you a Happy and Prosperous New Year!
