Tech Forum November 2016 Update

A Note from the Board

Tech Forum is enlisting our members to help update our inaugural 2015 “The State of the Delaware Technology Community” report. Technology, business and government leaders joined us for Happy Hour during Delaware Innovation Week to share their opinions in a lively, interactive format. If you missed out on the fun, we encourage you to take the short survey below to share your thoughts.

We hope you'll also join us to celebrate the season at Tech Forum's annual Holiday Extravaganza on December 21st at the University & Whist Club.

Happy Holidays,
Rick Sommer
President, Technology Forum of Delaware

Technology Forum Launches ‘Where Are We Going?’ Assessment at Monthly Event

Technology Forum of Delaware is taking an in-depth look at the state of technology in Delaware.

It was the second “Technology Where Do We Go From Here”  held by the forum.

The kick-off of the assessment was held in conjunction with Delaware Innovation Week, an event that highlights technology in the state.

The process was kicked off at the forum’s monthly meeting-networking event at World Cafe Live at the Queen Theatre with a rapid-fire  59-question assessment.  Responses came via from a show of hands, group discussions and text true or false text messages. Preliminary results indicated that the technology community has made progress over the past year, but still faces a variety of challenges.

State of the Tech Community Survey

We had a great discussion at our Tech in Delaware: Where Are We Going? event earlier this month. We posed questions about the state of our tech community, and got frank responses from our members. If you were not able to attend, you can share your opinions by completing our short survey. The survey examines three pillars - Talent, Collaboration & Support, and Brand - key issues for an environment for growth and innovation. We will share the results in January. Thanks for participating!

The most anticipated Tech Forum social event each year is our annual Holiday Extravaganza! Join your friends and colleagues for the celebration at the University & Whist Club where you’ll find plenty of holiday cheer, music and laughter. Our very own David Gates will be adding to the festive atmosphere with holiday classics on the grand piano.
