Every business has to start somewhere. Starting is one thing, scaling that business is something else. As every small business owner and entrepreneur knows, it is a process and evolution, a continual ascent to that next level of growth, that keeps a business thriving and successful.

Come and hear that story of growth and evolution from two local technology companies. Learn how they moved beyond startup to create highly successful enterprises.

Join us for a Fireside Chat as Vincent DiFelice of the UD Horn Program, facilitates a conversation with these visionary, mission-driven entrepreneurs. You’ll be encouraged by the tenacious journey of each one as they share their stories of persistence and progress.

    Fireside Chat Presenters:

     President & CEO

    Polymer Technologies

In 1989, Mr. Robert Prybutok established Polymer Technologies Inc.—a manufacturing facility. Since that time, Polymer Technologies has grown to become a leading manufacturer and supplier of noise control and energy management composites within the United States. Products are sold to a broad range of industries including aerospace, military, medical, power generation, and transportation. Polymer Technologies employs 110 full-time employees in Newark, DE and occupies an 87,000 square foot facility.

In 2003, Prybutok decided to expand upon the offerings of Polymer Technologies by branching out to create Polymer Molded Products (PMP). Located in northern New Jersey, PMP is a manufacturing arm of Polymer Technologies which produces 3-dimensional polyurethane molded parts for energy management applications in both industrial and healthcare markets. PMP has 30 employees and occupies a 20,000 square foot facility.

Dr. Dombrowski earned his Bachelors degree in chemical engineering from the University of Delaware in 2003. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Queensland, Australia in 2007 with a focus on crystallization and particle technology.
