Join Tech Forum and PADLA (Pennsylvania/Delaware/New Jersey Distance Learning Association) for an exploration of the technologies behind sustainable competencies.

Technology keeps advancing the way we are learning how to do our jobs. At this month's Tech Forum, we will examine how we have catapulted forward in just the last several years with the addition of new technologies for learning, and the role that micro learning, gamification, badging, nano-degrees, confidence-based testing and e-portfolios have played to drive the latest trends in micro credentialing and corporate learning.

We will also examine how we are going to deploy augmented reality, virtual reality and mixed reality in combination with these applied technologies to create new ways to develop skills or “competencies”.  We will look at how all of us will be able to sustain our competencies over our careers.

John Royer, founder of Insitehub and an award winning eLearning strategist, and Scott Shaw, Department Chair of the Game Design and Development Program and the Video and Motion Graphics Program at Wilmington University will present Technologies behind Sustaining Competencies. We'll also tour Wilmington University's gamification and learning technologies labs, and learn about their Collaborative Work Program.
